Pastor Anooshavan Avedian
Anooshavan Avedian, a 60-year-old Christian pastor in Tehran, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for forming a house church and leading worship services.
Arrested during a service in a private home, his case highlights the ongoing persecution of Christians in Iran, as reported by Christianity Today and The Christian Post.
Iranian church leaders desperately need access to practical, high quality, seminary-level training and tools in their language, Farsi, to plant and develop healthy churches.

When Iranian Christian leaders learned how Pathway Learning has been effectively providing underground church leaders in China with access to the training and tools they need in Chinese to plant and develop churches, they asked us to help them do this in Farsi.
As a result, a new Pathway Learning global partnership began. During 2023, we completed our first church planting book, videos, and audios in Farsi. The image below will be used in our first Farsi online, onsite, and hybrid beta course (designed for phones, tablets, and laptops) scheduled for completion in 2024.
